The letter of application should not simply repeat the content of the CV. Mention the vacant position and the company to whom you are sending your application. Carefully read the job description and visit the company's website.
You should already clearly explain to the personnel manager in your letter of application why you identify with the advertised position and the company. Mention your strengths, and use specific formulations to underline these strengths. The company should know immediately that you are the perfect employee and how it can benefit most from appointing you.
While the CV presents your past, the letter of application should focus on the future. Do not use standard sentences, but focus on your individuality and creatively use your imagination.
